About me

I'm Mato, a 32 years old software, compiled around 1992.

I have a passion for electronics and IT, sociology, psychology, medicine, and so on.

In the years of rabbit holing I've found many examples of AACs, and in this blog i'll go through some of them, mostly to jot them down, but also to take inspiration from them.

Most AAC devices cost a lot, as they're tagged as medical devices, hence not for the casual developer and tinkerer like me.

Additionally, some of those require a subscription, and only The Lord knows how much i hate enshittification, hope the greedy ones bankrupt.

About this blog

A friend of mine is suffering from LIS and this blog is my way of trying to cope with it with the resources I have.

We met at work around 8 years ago, but it wasn't until we both moved to another country to work for the same company (a second one) that we became friends.

We both love technology, especially when it helps, and that's why i'm here, i want to help him communicate again with the outside world.

I will probably also talk about other things, but he's the main reason I started this.
